The past couple months have been a whirlwind! Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's it was crazy, fun, exhausting and I'm glad they are over and the memories are stored for the rest of my life.
Christmas was a blast and the best Christmas since my mom passed away. I've had 6 whole years of Christmas that I wasn't super excited about and just wanted to make it through the day without breaking down. This Christmas was awesome. Emory started to get the whole Santa thing and asked him for a baby car seat. She was so excited waiting for the baby car seat she could hardly contain herself. Everyday she'd ask if Santa was coming and everyday we had to tell her how many sleeps and naps it was until he came. It was so cute.
Christmas eve we made cookies for Santa, made a gingerbread tree and while Emory was taking a bath Mrs. Claus made a visit with our new jammies! Then we settled down and watched Polar Express while Em drifted off for the night. Then we got busy finishing our wrapping and watching Christmas movies most of the night.

Christmas Day Emory woke up at 9! I totally took advantage since it's the last year we'll be able to sleep in our Christmas. HAHA Then we opened our presents and I made a big breakfast for us. My dad came over for breakfast and a nice time was had by all. That night we went to dinner at Deanna's and watched the football game. Christmas was relaxing and a family day that we rarely get have with our crazy schedules. I really enjoyed it.

Christian came to town on the 28th and stayed for a week. We had a great time and I just love when she's here. There was shopping, eating, tubing in Park City, more shopping, talking, family pictures(I'll post some in a seperate post) and we even went to see a movie! (I never get to go to the movie theater, especially to see a newly released movie lol) She went home on the 4th and it's always hard to see her leave but I know she'll be back and we're planning a trip to Phoenix in March so the time away won't be for too much longer :D

We welcomed in the new year with a quiet night in which is kind of how I like it. :) We watched the ball drop live and of course again 2 hours later when it was midnight here. It's been crazy since then. Emory started back to school on the 3rd, I started back on the 10th. Jason and I have still be working tons and tons. 2012 may have great things in store for us and I'm excited to see what they are. :D I'm not doing resolutions this year since when I write them I don't follow through with them so I just set myself up to fail. I'm going to work on life style changes. We're going to eat as a family and make better food choices, build our savings and keep building, focus on our health-exercise, diet and emotional well being. Those kinds of things to be a stronger family unit and better ourselves. I think this will work better and we started some of them before the new year since there is no reason to wait until the new year to start. :D Here's to accomplishing great things this year! I hope you all do the same.
