7 1/2 weeks already!

I just realized I haven't gotten on to update on our beautiful baby girl. Shes growing like a weed...well sort of. She still fits into some newborn stuff and 0-3 month clothing is still a bit big. I didn't expect her to be so tiny she we didn't buy any newborn things besides one pack of gerber white onsies, she's outgrown those but the 2 newborn carters sleep n' plays from Aunt Janiel still fit wonderfully.
Im not sure what she weighs now but on the 12th of december she was 9 pounds 6 oz. At her 2 week check up on the 1st of december she was 8lbs 6 oz. We had left the hospital at 6 lbs 12 oz. 7lbs 3 oz at birth. Im sure shes 11ish pounds now.

Shes started smiling about 2 weeks ago and its so cute. Im sure shes close to giggling now being that when she smiles she makes noises like shes trying to laugh. Her head control has been amazing since day one and has only gotten better still not 100% but thats okay. Im not rushing her into growing up. She'll do it at her own pace and she'll only be 7 1/2 weeks old once.

We're still breastfeeding much to my surprise since I was a complete wreck when she was 3 weeks old and was about to quit. I think eventually she'll be fully on formula as of now she gets one bottle of formula a day usually 2 to 4 oz. She's taken a bottle great from day one and other than the nipple confusion caused at the hospital she goes from boob to bottle to binky fantasically. She's a binky baby after 5 weeks of taking one only occasionally. She loved the soothie ones and was given some in the hospital but cant really keep them in her mouth. We tried NUK pacifiers and she didn't like them much. Jason got her to take it on Christmas after weeks of trying. Now its like an instant mute button unless shes hungry. When shes hungry watch out! LOL

As much as I was against co-sleeping its so much easier since when I put her in her bassinet she'll wake up within minutes most of the time. At night Im too exhausted to try over and over to get her to stay in it asleep so we sink down into bed and snuggle. Emory is a big snuggler like her daddy. Shes a sweaty sleeper like mommy though. We have yet to have a routine and I hope we get into one soon. She'll have good days of sleeping all night waking every few hours to eat but othernights she wants to play from 2 am to 8am! That makes for a tired mommy and the reason our apartment hasn't been cleaned in 7 1/2 weeks. I can barely manage to do dishes. Im very thankful that right now I get to stay home. I can't imagine going to work on an hour of sleep and leaving her at day care. I dont know how much longer I'll be able to stay home as money is extremely tight. If I go to work full time we'd have to pay for child care out of pocket and then it wouldn't be worth me goign to work since most if not all of my check would go to daycare.I can go back to my job at Gymboree but with my hours and Jasons hours fluctuating on the time of day it starts and daycares aren't open at night when I would work. We have one car so that also puts a damper on things. We need the money but I can't think of how to work it out.

She'll be 2 months old on the 15th and goes for her 2 month check up on the 19th and will most likely get her shots :(
